Image Flow allows
radiologists to report women’s imaging
results using the BIRADS (Breast Imaging
Reporting and Data System)
specification. It includes full support for
the Alberta Breast Cancer Screening Program
and integrates these functions directly into
the regular workflow, making it very easy
for your practice to meet the requirements
of this ASR (Alberta Society
of Radiologists) program. |

| HOW-TO: Use the ASR/BIRADS Form |
| In Alberta it is required that an ASR
form be filled out. The patient or
technologist fills out the top half of the
paper form and the radiologist fills out the
bottom half. Image Flow provides an
electronic version of this form, called the
BIRADS Edit form. |

This form will open automatically for
the technologist if the fee/procedure
has been marked as screening or
diagnostic.

The technologist will begin the process in
Image Flow by entering information into all relevant
fields on the form. The radiologist enters all
information and completes this process by filling in
the bottom right section to indicate what type of
exam this is, and finally selecting a women’s result
letter.

This exam will be added to a follow-up/recall
list depending on which follow-up/recall type was
indicated by the radiologist. This list can be found
from the Receptionist menu under BIRADS Follow-Up
List.
